A storytelling event based on stories and memories of Govanhill's residents, Nan's Journey is a performative event in which memories, anecdotes stories and observations of and about Govanhill in general and Westmoreland Street in
particular, are meshed together to form one story.
Visitors to the festival will have the opportunity to join a walk through Westmoreland street, with storyteller Gerard Durkin performing this narrative. Being led along locations in the street which play a role in the story, this work will connect the personal to the public, the local to the otherworldly and the ordinary to the magical.
